Missing Playgrounds in the city
Most of the cities of India has trouble for not having playground for kids and teenagers. Kid’s and teenager’s have trouble playing outdoor games because they have no place to play. Nobody allow kids to play their games in the public parks or in the small gardens of their Apartments as kids may damage windows, house property and may hurt someone walking by.
The literacy is a basic necessity and Indian kids are deprived from the education in lack of schools and colleges. Education Ministry department had never thought about playground or sport activities places in the school and college for their students, they had permitted. Many of the school has been converted from Apartments and few of them have playground and some of the school’s playground used for parking purpose. Most of cities in India have very limited or no play ground developed by local authorities.
Kabbadi, a national game of India has been disappearing in lack of grounds to play the Kabbadi, since developed areas are cemented are not good to play Kabbadi. In outdoor games, kids prefer to play cycling, skating, cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, table tennis, swimming, but in all of them ‘Street Cricket’ and ‘Hide & Seek’ is most favourite game among kids. There are many more local games with different name similar to ‘hide and seek’ are the most favourite because these games do not need any equipments or playground. And the same things for the Street Crickets, what ever are the numbers of player and they just need ball and bat to play.
Getting into sports activities is most important for teenagers for their physical and mental development for the life time and for that we need more playground and jogging tracks for the people. In lack of playgrounds teenagers are stuck with computers and television and the negatively affect their body for obesity.
